As we celebrate 31 years of Independence on November 1st, let us all remember that this milestone in our history was not easily achieved. Thanks to our forefathers, like the Hon VC Bird Snr, we have gained freedom and rights to many privileges that our ancestors didn't dream of coming to reality. So march forward Antiguans & Barbudans and celebrate our Independence Day.
I love the blog, it makes me feel happy that I am an Antiguan. This would be nice for a Social Studies class. You can make the students find out who wrote the nation anthem; who designed the flag; and what the colours of the flag represent.
I am in love with this blog and the colour scheme is great. This blog would be great for students of a Social Studies class where you could teach them all about the flag, the designer and so forth.
Thanks a lot for all your responses. I do appreciate the comments. The main goal for using a blog in my classroom is to get students involved. Since we know that children have multiple ways of learning a blog would be useful in getting them interested. They would have a chance to be hands on with the use of the internet, where they can find videos, pictures and other information that they can use. A blog is a useful tool and with the advancement of information technology its a learning tool that can be used in the classroom.
Beautiful!
